The only icons I can see are windows related programs in the taskbar (like Edge and Mail). I can also see all the icons when I click the windows logo to see the menu.

Icon missing - As a temporary measure you can create a desktop shortcut for this file C: Program Files Alwil Software Avast4 ashDisp.exe (the avast icon and interface to the providers). Right click on the file and select Send To, Desktop (create shortcut). Lately, I’ve been running across an oh-so-annoying issue: several of my Mac’s Dock icons are missing, with a generic application icon displayed instead. What happens is this: I click on an app.

- AVG and avast! Don't seem to interfere with each other's definition files, but the avast! Full system scan maybe would take twice as long if you don't turn off the avg real-time protection.
